What is LuxYs?
The LuxYs handpiece delivers optimal wavelengths of light with higher peak power to treat unwanted hair in smaller and delicate body areas such as the face, genital, and armpits. It also utilizes optimally-filtered light in order to completely erase darker pigmented lesions, with a smaller spot size ideal for hard-to-reach areas.
How does LuxYs Work?
By delivering optimal wavelengths of light into the area of skin imperfection, the LuxYs handpiece heats the area and destroys melanin, the skin pigment causing the discoloration. The heat energy also stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which allows the body to replace old skin cells with new healthy cells. This ultimately results in smoother, radiant, and younger-looking skin.
The light energy generated by the LuxYs handpiece also targets the hair follicle within the skin, damaging its structures and impairing its ability to induce hair growth. As a result, the treated area eventually becomes smoother and free from unwanted hair.
